Hi, I'm Nicky

...and as well as being a Fellow of Chartered Certified Accountant, I’m the Accounts Director of the thriving accountancy practice, Top Choice Accountants, Essex, and the Founder of Financial Education Academy, helping you Clarity, Confidence and contentment, to achieve Steady Cashflows in your business and personal lifestyle.

I set up the Academy because so many accountants and bookkeepers were making the very same mistakes I made when I started my business after corporate career,(no clarity, no roadmap, in my bedroom).

I know all about the highs and lows of setting up your own business after 9-5 corporate career. You need blue print and every business, self employed, start ups and seasoned entrepreneur need that for success. I’ve been there myself and the reason I turned this late start operation into a successful enterprise that can support many small business enterprises and operate without me.

You might think I’ve only achieved all that because I’m a workaholic who values work above everything else but you’d be wrong!

I retired from the corporate world and valued to embrace flexibility to do things on my own terms, and still make significant contributions to my lifestyle. I have four grown up children who also need my advice as the navigate their own needs in life. I wanted to be able to do many things of interest to me, take as much time off to travel as I wanted.

Nicky has drawn on her experience of working with corporate managers, professionals in various institutions to write this book. She found the common questions that are always asked, She has written a book that provides the background to enable managers to fully understand the numbers and finances of their business, the book is written jargon free, in simple basic language and can be read as a story to appreciate the background of the business numbers.

Confused about the difference between profit and cashflow, Turnover and cost of goods, gross margin and net margin. Not sure what should be in the Balance sheet and the profit and loss account? This book will give you the required Clarity and Confidence to appreciate the business finance and numbers.

Nicky also lectures in various Government Apprenticeship programs that produce students with Distinction results in the Accounting Technicians Qualifications.

Nicky live in Essex, United Kingdom with her family, devotes time to serve non-profit organizations in Non-Executive Director capacity, Board member, Treasurer, Team warden in her local Gray’s Thurrock Team Ministry and a member of the Parochial Church Council (PCC).

As a busy mum, with any spare time, Nicky enjoys Theatre and West end shows.

For many clients, Management Accounts are by far the most important document as this enables information to be audited for future decisions.

We can produce these for clients on a monthly or quarterly basis. We present these accounts in a clear and timely fashion and take time to interpret the figures alongside you, so strategic decisions can be made on the performance and accurate information.

If the client requires a Business Plan, we review and simulate profitability from the proposals. If the client wishes to raise finance, a detailed cash flow forecast is prepared for use ready for when accompanying the client at the Bank.
